Blocking does wonders.
I am always amazed at what blocking will do to lace projects. This is the Traveling Woman Shawl. The pattern was wonderful to follow and very well written. I chose to do five repeats of Chart A, which is a variation on the Horseshoe pattern. I also did a different bind off edge to make the edge much more elastic. I am quite pleased with the overall design. The fingering superwash wool is made by Aisling Yarns. The wool is such a pleasure to work with! The yarn is super soft and the colors are always amazing. As much as I love this shawl, I am thinking that this will be a birthday or Christmas gift for a close family member.

Finally, a knitting blog is born!
Just creating a name for this blog took quite some time. All that thinking was time not knitting. I have finished one project this past week and I just cannot wait to wear it. If only the weather would cooperate with me. I think I only have a month or two more before Autumn finally arrives.
