Harmony Shawl

I just could not wait to show you this shawl. I finished it over the weekend and managed to take some photos in the VERY hot weather.  It was nearly 90 degrees when I took these photos.  I cannot wait until fall arrives because I have a lovely new accessory to wear.

I couldn't resist this photo.  See Frodo?  He is patrolling his little world :)  Little did he know that I was taking his photo.  Whenever he sees the camera he thinks we are going outside for a walk about the yard. If i aim the camera at him he looks away to give me the best profile he can muster up (or is he ignoring me?)

I knit this shawl with size five needles and it was the perfect size for cobweb lace.  Once I had a couple inches knit up the fine lace was very easy to handle.  This project was addictive for me mainly because of the progressing colorway.  I was always eager to get to the next color block.

I much prefer the citron with 880 yards of lace than 440 yards.  For me it is a nice size to wear as a shawl or as a scarf around the neck.

Ravelry notes here.

  1. It has come up beautifully and looks so floaty and dreamy. That is certainly some warm weather. It's only about 9 degrees celsius during the day here now. If the conversion is right, about 48F. We are reaching for our winter woollies. Jacinta

  2. I've made citron twice (gave one away), but neither of mine can hold a candle to yours.....it's fabulous. I love the subtle colors and the color changes seem to accentuate the ruching (is that the word???). Just LOVELY!!! I might have to make it again!!!!

  3. Karen, it is just dreamy! I do wish I could reach inside this computer and just touch the yarn, it looks so soft. You my dear should be very pleased with yourself! I am now hoping a freak cold front blows in so you can wear it now and not have to wait until fall! :)
