Along Came a Spider {august break}

Based on my quick search, this is a black and yellow garden spider but I could be wrong, I am not checking his underbelly to see if it is white to confirm the identification process.  I only observe!

I love how he looks like he has only four legs instead of eight.  Is he possibly loving some new yoga pose?
I love his messy web, every speck, dot or line is of his own doing.

  3. Awesome photo! If her happens to put a lighting bolt-like line in his web then he is of the variety that eat mosquitos! Yay!

  6. Great photo. We sometimes have them too but I have not seen any this year. The big one is usually the female. ;-)

  14. We did not have these growing up in the mountains, but I do remember them from when I was very little girl living in Kansas. They were everywhere one summer. I'm ok with spiders if they are outside. The minute they come inside, I call my husband to take of them.

  16. When I went out for an early breakfast I noticed a "four legged" critter's web on my rear window. After breakfast, I drove home and carefully transferred it to a bush next to the car. It is still there at its new residence, doing fine. I named it "Goldie" after a rooster that passed away a few months ago. :-=)
