Reflections

This week has been quiet and serene.  We are heading towards another weekend where there is nothing planned and I think we both are quite happy to have nothing to do.  As you know, something will happen but it will be spontaneous and carefree.  I checked the weather and it seems we will be blessed with a huge storm filled with rain and little sunshine.  Sigh. If only it could contain one little tiny snowflake.  I know that rainy days are very good for knitting and planning on knitting and you will find me doing both.

Yesterday I had 4 inches of hair cut off and it feels so swingy and healthy!  I was due a hair cut, you see I cut my bangs every month or so putting off the professional appointment then one day my hair will scream "enough".  So today I am a new person and my hair looks great as long as I don't go outside in the humidity.

I've pulled out odds and ends of worsted weight yarn that were left overs from previous projects.  My goal is to create either a hat or mitts and lighten up my knitting basket in the process.  So....I can add more yarn!  Just kidding.

Have a lovely weekend!

  1. Sounds like we are going to have the same weekend and both of us sitting here wishing for snow.
Doesn't having your hair cut make you feel like a whole new woman? I bet you look just beautiful.
    Enjoy the day.

  4. Worsted scraps! Want to hear something crazy? My husband wants me to knit him some wool pants. Yep. Longies for the six foot tall guy. I'm going to gather my scraps and work on them off and on for years, probably. (:

  7. It's amazing what a lift having your hair cut is. It's a real treat...especially if you get a complimentary head massage...

Hope the weekend is a nice balanced one for you both with some fun and some relaxation too.

Sorry about the lack of snow... in our area they are calling for snow on Halloween, which is crazy and just wrong!

  13. It's so nice to have hair that feels that way... I'm WAY overdue for a hairdressing appointment. Trying to make do by ignoring the split ends in my hair... :)

  14. I'm overdue as well. Don't you love that springy light feeling when you get a cut. I'm beginning to accept frizzy messy hair as a way of life (lol)
