Weekends

We met up with my sister and brother in law for a weekend in a cabin in the woods.  We did this last year and had so much fun that we made sure to schedule it in this year.  My weekend was

-very cold! but I loved it so much
-a hat-mitt-shawl wearing weekend
-s'mores, they are calorie free when eating them in a cabin, just so you know
-eating meals on the grill
-taking in the scenery while hiking
-discovering flea market finds
-knitting with my sister
-seeing both my son and my daughter while traveling to and from the cabin
-a cozy fireplace sitting and chatting and enjoying everyone's company
-once again carrying my camera and capturing nature's beauty

How was your weekend?

  2. I'm so very glad you had a lovely time :-)

Our weekend was rainy, oh-so-rainy, but I had some time in town just with my lovely eldest daughter which was quite magical. However my usual bicycle ride time with my son was cancelled due to... rain! Oh well, I made him a hot chocolate with marshmallows instead.

    Have a good week.

  4. Sounds like a fabulous weekend. I kind of wish it had been cooler in the mountains so we could have had a fire. As it was we had the slider door open because it was just too warm!
