Currently on my Needles

I've been knitting away on a new project that I started on Easter Sunday with my sister.  You see, we were yarn shopping during a Thanksgiving visit and bought the same yarn Juniper Moon Tenzing with the grand idea of doing a sisterly knitalong.  We only just started our projects a mere two weeks ago.  We are having fun asking "what row are you on?".

My other knit that has had some attention is this striped scarf.  I have every intention of gifting this to my husband who loves greens.  I hope I have enough yarn or I might just be blocking this aggressively once I'm finished. I love that feeling of not knowing :)

Check out yesterday's post about my gloves and scarf!!

My reading is the same as last week- Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt is a compelling read and each character is someone you empathize with deeply.  The main character is a 14 year old girl who is grieving over the loss of her beloved Uncle Finn, who died of AIDS.  She then discovers more family secrets and deals with her loss through an unexpected person.  Very thought provoking, I'm nearly half way done. I enjoy reading family dynamics and seeing the point of view at different angles.

My other book is David Copperfield and I've only just started, as I said last week this one will take me a while :)

The other day I looked at Tell the Wolves I'm Home and now I see it not only on your blog, but Steph's too, think it will be next on my reading list.

  7. A sister knit-a-long would be so fun if only one of my two sisters were knitters! I do have my Stitches Sisters (who I went to Stitches with last year), but it's not the same. I've never done a KAL; it sounds like fun!

I've never read David Copperfield and have always thought it's one I "should" have read but it is so... big! It is totally too daunting for me just now!

  9. The greens look so lovely together! I think it's funny that you love the feeling of not knowing. I'm the total opposite. It makes me crazy!! (I might be too much of a control freak though.) A sisterly knitalong DOES sound fun. Enjoy!

  15. A sister knit-along sounds like so much fun. I am going to start a knit-along with my cousin who is just learning how to knit. I figured it would be easier for me to help her if I knew the pattern.
