Currently on the Needles

I think I might have stunned you!  Not only is there a new book but two new projects on the needles as well.  I seem to have a case of cast on fever.  I love when that happens.  First off the green project is a scarf for my husband.  He loves green and I have two skeins of dark green and one skein of light green of Frog Tree from deep deep deep stash.  Before ravelry stash, I'm guessing :)

Next up is my cotton linen blend project-A Table Runner and I posted yesterday all about it. I'm on the second skein which is the last skein and I predict this knit will be done quickly.

For reading, I am onto a light book titled Between, Georgia by Joshilyn Jackson.  So far so good-the plot is moving quickly and I care about each character and wonder what will happen next, all the important ingredients to a lovely read.

What are you knitting and reading this week?

I have a case of cast on fever too, but I keep holding off until I get my scarf finished. Today I am deep in paper work so knitting happened really early this morning.

  7. That is going to be a very nice scarf and I'm looking forward to the table runner reveal. I'm still knitting my Calais shawl, but took a little break from it to knit a hat for somebody. My daughter has me reading Divergent right now. She wouldn't let up, and I'm glad she didn't. It's a pretty decent book.

  8. It seems like you are reading a great book. I must make note of that one. I love your knits. The scarf is a beautiful pattern with great colors. So jealous as I can't knit or crochet at the moment.

  11. So many pretty things right there on the needles. Once I get this current shawl finished the cast on itis will begin! I will have to add that book to my list - you know, the list that always grows but never shrinks because I never read!

  12. I love the greens you've got going on! How do you keep yarn in your stash for so long? It would be calling my name!

  13. Glad to know that I am not the only one that makes things for the inanimate objects in their home. ;-)

I made a cozy for my KitchenAid stand mixer that I've never regretted. Very clever idea for the table runner.

  20. Ooh you have got lots going on. Im in a real green mood at the moment, I think it must be something to do with spring.
I haven't really got any new projects on the needles at the moment. I haven't had much time but I've been customising the bergen cowl that I knitted by adding another layer and still reading the last Anne Tyler novel I picked up. We plan to try and get away for a couple of days at the weekend so hopefully I can finish both.

  22. Karen, I needed a change so I started over with a new blog.

I love the greens! So gorgeous! My crochet project isn't going as well as I'd like. I'm hoping practice does make at least better if not perfect. :-)

  24. Oh socks and baby knits are all I can think about right now! No reading. I'm taking a week off and I'm going to try a scifi/fantasy recommendation from a co-worker...

  25. Is that scarf a basket weave? Nice colors! I'm still working on a very old UFO and reading Blood and Beauty, about the Borgias. Both have been kind of slow going.

  27. Don't your projects look so pretty together! I love the greens together it will be a beautiful scarf.
Thank so very much for your sweet words of encouragement about my shawl knitting. I'm not sure why I'm finding the idea of charts quite so intimidating :) I'll let you know how I go.
    Have a wonderful week.
