Currently on the Needles

This is a quick post, I'm still, yes still working on my socks, shawl and the blanket.  Sort of slow going in the knitting and reading in my life.  I'm looking forward to fall when there is more time to focus on my knitting.

My reading is the same, The Interestings has actually become a little interesting.  The beginning for me was slow going but now that I'm more than half way through I like the story.  I have no idea where the story is going but that makes me like reading it all the more!

What are you knitting and reading this week?

  1. I'm a bit like you doing small things, a handle for a bag I made ages ago and never finished and little squares for the blanket. It's the perfect small project. Your blanket is coming along beautifully, I love the colours.

  10. Oh I love the socks!!! And the shawl is divine! I picked up my knitting again (finally) this week and if my headache stays calm I should finish the second sock that's been on the needles for months. A finished pair of socks! Then it's on to beginning the Christmas sock knitting

  16. Oh I love those stripes! I swear every week after seeing whatever socks you have going to try socks again soon but there is always some other birthday to knit for and not many little children want hand knit socks for their birthday, haha!! But sometime I'll just have to cast on a second project instead of being my crazy one-project-at-a-time self...

  17. Your knitting looks so inviting! I love the shawl pattern, and the stripes in those socks :)
I know what you mean, I sort of bunker down and take my knitting a little more seriously once the weather gets a bit cooler, too.

  19. I love how you have something bright and stripey and then something neutral in your knitting picture. I think I have a similar theme going on right now. I'm socks and shawl oriented right now. No reading, alas.

  20. Great socks! I love how the yarn is making such nice, even stripes. Your shawl is looking lovely, too--can't wait to see it when it's finished.

  21. The shawl looks like a really fun knit. I've noticed that I've needed to knit more complicated patterns lately to stay interested in a project - unless I'm riding in the car. Then just plain straight knitting works just fine.

Reading …I'm waiting for a book to come in at the library..does that count?
