Weekends

Weekends are for memory making,
relaxing and enjoying quiet moments of our days.
If you would like, please share your weekend moments
in the comment section with a link to your blog.

This weekend was the weekend that began our household of two and I enjoyed the new beginning.  Fall for me is a beginning because of the school year starting.  Just like school children, I have some new notebooks and some new pens to use!  On Saturday, I gathered up all the clothing donation bags that were tucked into many closets and brought them downstairs to one location.  Completely cleaned all nooks of the guest bathroom (kid bathroom).  The pantry had a mini redo on it's lower shelves.

Oh the knitting that I did while not moving "stuff" around.  I worked on all three projects at some point or another.  Talked to the kids, listening to their life adventures and am grateful that I can imagine them in their new towns and apartments.

Yesterday, I worried about Frodo who seems to have pulled a shoulder muscle.  That's our best guess, he is eating and drinking fine, so we did not walk and we did give him extra snuggles.  Hopefully today is a better day for him.

There was:  pizza, Dr.Who (the end of Amelia and Rory!!), more knitting, rain showers, leisure newspaper puzzle solving.

How was your weekend?

Thank you all for the well wishes on our Anniversary!!

  5. Lots and lots of rain here. It was much needed though,so I'm not complaining about it. The days were spent mostly indoors in sweats and pj's, watching some movies, getting a few things done inside and of course knitting. Hope you have a great week!

  12. Yesterday was an up early and extra volunteer day at the shelter. They needed people for the dog's photoops. It seems the dogs get adopted sooner when their image is with a volunteer. :) Happy to play with the dogs as I don't have one these days.
Getting my steps in despite the horrid humidity.
Bread in the bread machine, salsa with the first good tomatoes of the season..yum
and frogging a shawl…with a new cast on today!

  21. Karen, your weekend sounds absolutely wonderful! I was thinking of you this morning and wondering how you were enjoying your paring down of people in your household to just two. I am glad it is going well....I knew you would be knitting, FOR SURE AND FOR CERTAIN! :) Hugs to you, my friend, on this autumn-ish evening.
