Weekending

Weekends are for memory making,
relaxing and enjoying quiet moments of our days.
If you would like, please share your weekend moments
in the comment section with a link to your blog.

Can a weekend be delicious??  Mine certainly was.  The weather was spectacular, blue skies, warm air, truly a welcome sight.  Every window is opened and and the house has been freshened up.  Luckily my allergies are behaving and at night I fall asleep listening to the night sounds.  The older I get the more I appreciate spring.

Saturday

: farmer's market : fresh loaf of bread : country drives : pesto pasta : grilled chicken : new umbrella for the patio : getting HOT on a walk (what is that feeling?) : window washing : salads : phone calls from the kids : visiting the local park

Sunday

: Mass : Laundry : putting away wool shawls and scarves : washing wool sweaters : bare feet : washing lettuce : crossword puzzles : reading : doodling with the camera : knitting :

How was your weekend?  I'd love to hear!

**thanks to all of you who visit and comment and share your thoughts.  I love to read them and visit your spaces.  Thank you for long time readers who are now friends, and to the new readers who are soon to be friends.

  1. I know I should appreciate spring, but I wish it were winter. We just had a terrible storm come thru and we are still under a tornado watch until 8 tonight. Blah!
I need to wash a few windows myself, but now I must wait until the ground dries so the ladder won't sink!
Oh well, more time to knit;)

  7. Yay for spring. We enjoyed the same weather Karen, and it was perfect for all the yard work we had to do, although we did squeeze in two short hikes. You are brave washing and putting away the woolens...if it snows I blame you :)

  15. We've been sleeping with the windows open for the first time this year also...The only downside is the new rooster that lives down the street...Hmmm. I just might need to knit him a beak cover. That's a thing, right?

Worked around the house, took Popeye for a nice long hike (and yes, I got hot!), hamburgers on the grill for dinner. Just perfect! Sunday was dinner at Mom's and a little shopping. 25. Our week-end (especially Sunday) was glorious : Sun shining, warmth, kids playing with friends, yard and garden work, sunscreen! We even put up the trampoline... you can imagine the hours of fun. We are getting nothing but rain this week, but it's okay. I can see a green halo starting to form everywhere, swallowing the brown and yellows. The rain is needed. So we are grateful for it.

Hope your week is a wonderful one!
