Currently on the Needles

I have been wanting to get my hands on this book, patiently waiting for it go paperback.  Well imagine my surprise while in Canada at the beginning of the month visiting my in laws finding this book in paperback and on sale!  Score!  I just started reading it so I have no opinions but I am really excited about reading it.  Have you read it?

My knitting has been focused on three projects, I posted yesterday about the mittens I'm knitting.  I started the first sleeve of my sweater and made some progress on the shawl in the above photo.

It's been a good knitting week :)

What have you been knitting and reading this week?

  6. My librarian has been raving about that book so I'm excited to get my hands on it as well. I'll probably opt for the audiobook since I can get through those a lot faster than paper books these days. The benefit of spending 2 hours in the car each day for a work commute. :)

  22. I found the book simultaneously highly stressful, with a need to keep putting it down to take deep breaths, yet quick-moving because of the short chapters and constantly changing points of view. That said, though, I really liked it and hope you do, too.

  23. The colour of your shawl is amazing, I love it. I have not heard of that book, I do hope you enjoy it and I look forward to hearing more about it :)

  31. Argh, I have not yet started that book and it's been almost a year since I bought it! First my daughter stole it from me, then I cajoled her into giving it back only to give it BACK to her so she could read it on a business trip. She still has not returned it!!! : ) I'm still reading Elizabeth Gilbert's book "Big Magic", it's such a great read!xx

  32. I just love the look of your shawl. I look forward to hearing what you think of the book.

  33. I have that on my TBR because of maybe you or someone else. I love a good deal. I've been so cheap with books, borrowing from the library for quite some time now unless I know I'd want to keep it forever in Kindle or paperback form. I'll be interested in seeing what your impressions are throughout your reading journey.

  34. Oh I'm currently listening to that audiobook and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I think it would be fabulous to read and am considering a revisit if I can ever get back to reading regularly. I'm knitting a bulky baby blanket that I think will actually be done this weekend. And still, in between all the other life moments am chipping away at my Twinleaf shawl :) Happy knitting and reading to you!

  35. That book is on my list, but the library never has it in :( One day I will get to read it. I just finished knitting a hat, and am working on a scarf. A pair of fingerless mitts will get cast on this evening.

    Hope you are well Karen.

  36. I'm anxious to hear how you like that book as it's on our book club list for next year. I just finished The Walk by Richard Paul Evans only to discover it was part 1 of 5, and I am hooked. Still knitting on holiday projects and the Scoreboard Scarf.
