I'm a little earlier than usual but I've got company coming tonight and I know I'll be busy then.  So here goes my weekend summary.

Friday night was a Christmas work party and dinner.  We had fun dressing up (as in no jeans) and eating out.  Fancy is fun once in a while, and I wore new dress clothes that fit like a dream. I felt comfortable instead of fidgeting with clothes that make me feel icky.  I'm donating those!

Saturday was baking and, my oh my, did I bake!  Five different cookies:  peanut butter, chocolate chip, magic bars, gingersnaps, and Russian tea cookies.  I blasted the holiday tunes and eased into my rhythm of baking.  Later, I watched the first Harry Potter movie and finished my third, yes third baable hat.  It's the last one as well.

So far today, I've been to Mass and was entertained by the baby who isn't a baby but a toddler now.  I am his "church auntie" as I sit and barely pay attention to the service. I did catch some "advent and the waiting is over" part of the homily.

Laundry is laundrying, I've got a carrot cake to bake along with some blueberry muffins.  And some bathrooms need a swill.  I'm sure my holiday music will motivate me as I deck my halls and fa la la around the house.

How was your weekend?

Lots of carols are being listened to at night too.
FIreman is snoring in the chair next to me!

  8. I haven't been feeling that great, so I just made sure I got plenty of rest. This meant netflix and knitting and boy was it needed. Still feeling a bit puny, but nothing like yesterday. Have a great week and a very merry Christmas!

  9. Sounds very merry indeed, all except the bathrooms that need a swill. But really, we all have to get to those chores before company comes right? Just turn up the music and think about knitting and cookies and family. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  18. Got any more goodies? They all sound so YUM! I love Russian Tea Cakes and carrot cake. I wanna see you in that dress. I love how good you felt. That is what clothes is supposed to do; I concur that you should get rid of the ones that make you fidget.
