Weekends

This weekend I reclaimed the coffee table - you know what that means, our son left to go back up to Boston until he visits sometime in the summer (nothing planned as of yet).  He left Saturday morning so I blitzed the house, tidied up counters and corners and righted my visual world.

We had a great week together but my, I'm tired! This extra-rainy drippy weekend was nice to hibernate and rest up.  I read my book off and on, and when I wasn't reading, I was knitting away.

Today I went to Mass and we ran some errands together just the two of us.  We took back roads to our destination instead of the highway.  I loved seeing spring time in the rolling hills and mountains.  I wonder about the people who live in the houses, are they happy?  is it their dream home? etc...

There was homemade pizza (and then leftovers today!) - a carrot cake from my husband's students - dark chocolate - iced tea - bagels - salad

How was your weekend??

  1. I hope you are all rested and enjoying the rest of the weekend. We were suppose to have rain today, but so far not a drop has fallen, I just came in from watering!
My Alex will be home on Tuesday and I can't wait, I miss him!

  2. I know that 'catching' up....Marley visited less than 48 hours and the place was FULL of puppy toys and barricades and paper towels awaiting the next accident and muddy puppy paw marks all over the kitchen. I'm exhausted. :(

  3. Our Saturday was very busy. I was able to "squeeze" a 2 hour walk with friends in early in the morning, ran errands and then got ready and had Nadia's birthday party. Today was spent cleaning up, doing laundry and catching my breath.

  4. Yesterday was all about running errands, but today was a beach town day ---- by that, I mean, we ate at a beach restaurant, had a cup of coffee --- read, knit....but never hit the sand.

    It was a perfect day!

  9. It was Easter here but unfortunately I was working all weekend. There was a looooot of food, a lot of knitting and lots of hugs with my dog who was terrified by the fireworks on Saturday night.

  10. This sounds perfect! My weekend was one where I managed to get some things done around the house (though sadly you can't tell), and also managed to just relax a bit. Makes Monday a teensy bit easier to accept ...

  12. It sounds like a lovely weekend! Mine was busy-high school musical, university opera, a memorial for a community member-I definitely needed some naps in there. Glad you managed to reclaim parts of your house, and hopefully feel well-rested.
