Winter Blast

Our little town has been diligently digging out of a winter storm.  I measured 25 inches in my back yard (unofficial number of course).  As you know, I'm loving this brief winter visit.  Snow in this magnitude is manageable because I still have electricity!

Our daughter leaves today after being here since Sunday night.  We had a great visit even though we were unable to go anywhere for two -  three days.  She loved the snow and pulled out her winter coat and boots that she left here when she moved to California.  Just think by this evening, she'll be back in summertime weather!

Luckily, we did get out yesterday to shop and have lunch :)

I recently switched from a windows computer to a mac (I bought my son's macbook air).  Over all the switch has been easy but sometimes my brain hurts from trying to figure out how to do things that I could seamlessly do without thinking.  I'm hoping when the learning curve is over, I'll be happy with the switch!!

Even though I'm a little sad that she is leaving, I'll be working on a clean house and a much restocked pantry after this storm.

  1. Keep safe xxx Love the doggy photo at the top. I think it is amazing how you guys function over there. Over here in the UK just a tiny bit of snow causes everything to grind to a hault.

  6. I love your top picture of Frodo watching your husband! : ) I'm so glad you were able to spend quality time with your daughter, I know how hard it is when she leaves. Our daughter was home last weekend and I loved every minute. You know I enjoyed the snow as much as you did! I even was able to go out cross country skiing the other day! Have a great weekend!

  7. It is so hard when our children return to their every day lives and they no longer live with us. My son has managed to be home during snow the last couple of times he visited from CA also. I love your snowy pictures. We got 4 inches and a whole lot of rain so a bunch of slush.

  11. Wow, Lady, you had quite the snow storm. That is more than our son in Maine got out of this snow storm! Poor Frodo! Glad you had a good visit with your daughter and that you were able to get a little while yesterday for shopping and lunch.

  12. Wow - you have a lot of snow for mid-March. We are up to 96 here in Arizona today. Too hot - too soon. I got a MacBookAir last year and really love it! It takes some getting used to, but it is really nice and makes managing pictures so easy - especially if you have an iPhone. Have a great weekend!

  14. so much snow! how convenient your daughter still has winter things at your house ... I'm sure you enjoyed the visit in spite of the weather. I made the switch from PC to Mac about five years ago. The learning curve wasn't too steep and it went fast and now I'm a committed Apple girl (iPhone, iPad, iWatch and MacBook Air!) - good luck!!
