Knitting News

Well it's official, the holiday knitting has begun with this sweet hat pattern.  As the autumn season approaches, I remembered to photo the project before darkness descended.  Since the photo I have a solid 2 inches completed on the brim.

If I enjoy this pattern, I will be knitting more hats.  So stay tuned.

the color is off - it's more 'blue'

My sweater, oh my sweater.  The progress is steady but somewhat slow.  I am 3-4 inches away from the binding off.  The goal is in sight, I just need to focus and knit.  Today is a rainy day, perfect for sitting and knitting and ignoring the chores that call my name.

What are working on this week?  Any gift projects?  Or are you being decadent and creating for yourself?

  1. I am working on another pair of socks . I have both socks down to the point of starting the toes. I will do them when I have a little time of no interruptions since there is some counting involved.

  2. Ha! Two pairs of socks on the needles and one shawl. All for moi! LOL. I keep thinking of the socks and hats I want to knit for gift-giving and I may need to start that soon (SHOULD Start that soon). Love the yarn for the hat you've started.

  9. Let us know how the hat progresses. Hats are fun to knit as progress is so easy to see. I have a pair of socks on the needles that will be a Christmas gift and a toddler sweater. Hooray for your progress on the sweater. When knitting sweaters, I always hit a black hole where I knit and knit and nothing changes. If I can get through the black hole, the rest of the knitting is enjoyable and clips along.
