Silver Leaf Cardigan Complete

Oh hey, hi there!  I have finished another top down sweater, it seems to be the sweater to knit of 2017.  Maybe I'll be casting on another one for my sister before the new year, after I knit a sweater for my son in law.

Could Mother Nature give us some pleasant weather??  Please?  You know the kind, cool breezes - seeing puffs of breath from the cold air.  Ah, soon.  Then I can wear this knit with pride and not be overly hot from the wool.

I'm ready to focus on mostly small knitting projects for the time being for the holidays.  I've lined up some hats to knit and maybe some cowls.  During all of this gift knitting, I'm thinking of selfish knitting the whole time.

  6. Your cardigan is absolutely beautiful! Love the color and it looks so nice on you. This is one of my favorite projects that you have made. I am starting to look forward to winter because I don't think we will be getting our normal fall weather. It is just hot, muggy and miserable. I come back from walking at 6:00 a.m. dripping sweat. It looks like fall with leaves changing and falling but it doesn't feel or smell like fall. Hope we all get some cool fall days soon.

  7. Your sweater looks perfect! The weather here in Texas is beautiful, too. We are planning a picnic at the park tomorrow. It's been so hot until about two days ago. I feel inspired to get my hand knits out and pick out a sweater to wear. It's something little but I'm looking forward to it!

Thank you for your sweet la hanau wishes for my teen. Yes, she has grown up fast. When she had turned 10, I was already amazed at having been a parent for a decade and now it's three years later.

  19. It’s lovely - and it really suits you. I am yearning to knit a light weight top down cardigan at the moment - even though we are heading for summer here in Australia and I won’t wear it until next April at least!

  22. Looking sharp. That's such a fabulous color. We've had both ends of weather here. Cool mornings/nights with more temperate day time temps. I got to wear a cardi and a shawl this morning. Now the shawl's off... Hot tea all the way, though!
