Hello! How are you doing?
I am starting to feel better again, I'm hoping it lasts for a while now. This year has been 'whack-a-mole' with various symptoms and I'm so ready for a break from it all. Even while having symptoms, I'm still exercising when I can. And as you know I spend time with the grands as much as possible. They make me happy.
I continue to work on the small baby blanket, I think I am half way done. I haven't been doing much knitting on anything else physically. But mentally I'm planning and plotting the next project. I think knitters love to do that.
We moved here in 2021 and the flower beds have really taken off this year! I love to walk around and see what's going on. My husband did all of the work. Our neighbor gave us plants and so did my sister. Whenever there is a flower the deer do not eat, I rejoice!
I heard the cicadas for the first time last week. Now I know we are into the summer season. They don't seem as loud as they could be but they only just started.
I'm still reading the same books, The Appeal and Blue Lightning. I am enjoying both of them. The first is a physical book and the second is a kindle book for night time reading.
I am so glad you are feeling better! That is such good news! And your bee balm looks so gorgeous! I like that color!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful, Karen. And I really like the color of the small baby blanket. Such a rich color. Praying for you, my friend. xx
ReplyDeleteoh my ... 2021?! what a journey (honestly, I find it hard to picture the "before" house) ... the beds and flowers are so lovely. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are feeling better. My husband and I have played medical hopscotch with surgery and one each of another medical condition. We too are ready for a break but continue to be thankful for medical care. The bee balm matches your sweet baby blanket. I also agree that knitters love to plan and plot the next project. I thought about yarn in my stash and what it might become as I walked this morning.
ReplyDeleteSo good to read that you are feeling better!! I do hope this can continue. Your flowers are so pretty. Deer just munched all of our gladiola stalks! Disappointing. My husband heard a cicada the other day.
ReplyDeleteSo much color, so pretty.
