Knitting News
How are you doing?
I am speedily knitting my cowl trying to finish it this week. I have less than 10 rows to go!! I hope the blocking shows the 'butterfly stitch'. I also hope I like the length and width when I am wearing it. I usually knit with fingering weight wool for around my neck. I believe this is dk weight (I can't remember!).
Also on the needles is the languishing pair of socks for my husband. I really want to put these in his Christmas stocking. I love that I can knit socks for him, in front of him and he hasn't a clue they are for him. Oblivious.
What are you working on this week?

I am writing from Gnome Central... yes, some gnome knitting is happening in my world. (even a tiny gnome to mark little Odette's first Christmas!)
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along beautifully!
ReplyDeleteWell, I am happy to report that I finished one of the three cowls that I've been crocheting! It was rather necessary that I do so because it's a Christmas gift for a friend that I am going to have lunch with on Saturday...provided we aren't bombarded with more snow. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's funny about your husband being oblivious.
ReplyDeleteThis is looking very good! Great progress!
ReplyDeleteI finished the Nova Scarf. Now all my knitting is on my Bumble socks. The butterfly cowl is beautiful. You can already see the butterflies even without blocking.
ReplyDeleteI cast on socks for our travel over Thanksgiving week. I didn't get far but that's perfect because it means I was doing other things with my family. The butterfly cowl is so pretty. That looks exactly like your color.
ReplyDeleteLove the yarn you are knitting with - gorgeous color. I started a cowl the other day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful colour ! I am working on a cardigan, that I hope to finish before 'official' winter, but still have two sleeves to go and then putting it all together and add a border....
ReplyDeleteI love your cowl. Color/pattern combo is so nice. I made a "pillowy" pattern before and did not block it so the pillows would stay intact. I wonder if that would work for yours? Maybe just wet the ends and pin them down....just a thought. Can't wait to see the finished product.
