Remember all of that car knitting?  Well I'm nearly done with the cowl I started last week.  I altered the pattern quite a bit and I think I'll be making more if I like how it blocks and wears.  I have a few skeins in my stash that would look lovely.  And this could be my Christmas knitting.

My reading continues to be the same.  As I said last week, I'm enjoying the story and I'm taking forever to read the book.

What are you knitting and reading this week?

  3. i've been doing quite a bit of car knitting recently, too......and have dragged the dreaded pew shawl with me. It looks to me as if I haven't done a thing on it (I know better, but blech.....) Your cowl is moving along beautifully! and I really love that gem-stone quality color!

  28. What a beautiful color!! I wish I could knit in the car. I used to be able to. Read, knit, anything. Then I got pregnant with Ree. Ever since anything but looking out the window causes me to get car sick. (And when I was pregnant with Veronica even looking out the window made me carsick. Driving made me car sick! I'm glad at least that went away!)

  30. That cowl looks gorgeous. Such a lovely colour. I love it when a pattern (or your own version of the pattern) really works and you can keep coming back to it. So satisfying, and everyone needs a project they can just work on without having to think too much. It's good for the brain :)
