Antique Shawl
I finished this shawl over a week ago and it's officially the first holiday gift of 2020. I love how this turned out! I've knit many Helen Stewart patterns and enjoy how the directions are easy to follow. There is nothing like steadily increasing stitches on every row watching the shawl take form. The yarn is from Apple Tree Knits which I highly recommend. The gradient color themes they create are fabulous and the wool blends are beautiful. I am officially done with my 'pink' phase of knitting (maybe!). Ravelry notes Joining Ginny
That is a beautiful shot you took. Have a great weekend and I hope it's cool where you are! xx
ReplyDeleteI love the silvery blue colour if the pine needles. The golden light in the background is lovely too. I hope you have a fantastic weekend planned. Jacinta x

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :)
I love big fir/pine/evergreen trees but sadly, we have none in our yard or our neighborhood except for the bristly kind that hurts to touch.
ReplyDeleteMm I can just smell it. Have a wonderful weekend!

that makes me long for fall and cooler temps!
ReplyDeleteI have a giant Blue Spruce in the front yard. It's the only thing that really looks alive during the winter... Praise God for evergreens!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
So pretty. I love that dappled green in the background.
ReplyDeleteI love the light in that picture-- something about it makes me think about summer waning.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit to my blog. Love the name of your blog and looking at your knitting projects.
ReplyDeleteIt looks sort of like a Blue Spruce? But the needles look a little long for that. I'm curious as to what exactly it is. Do share :)

Thanks for the visit! I love meeting new blog friends :) Love your moment--tomorrow we are headed to the mountains to hopefully see some beautiful trees like this.
ReplyDeletePeaceful nature. Ahhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend under the shade of that tree!
yum....it reminds me of fall and even though i don't want to wish summer away, this is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour photo makes me look forward to the upcoming fall - cooler temps and pine scent in the air.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your visit and comment today. Happy weekend to you!
Evergreens make me think of cool weather...a welcome respite right now!
ReplyDeleteI know this visit is way overdue but I still wanted to pop in! This makes me miss NY so very much...
ReplyDeleteLast week, I was playing around on my new phone and got this shot of my nephew. I always enjoy him, but particularly when I see my sister's essence in him. Does that make sense? This was one of those moments...
