Best Things

My favorite aunt, you know the one who received this shawl, cross stitched this lovely piece of art for us as a Christmas present one year.  I cannot remember which year I received it, but I love the saying.

My best things are my family (including Frodo), the nature that surrounds me, memories I've made through the years and my peaceful existence in this world. What could possibly be better than that?

  5. I am going to write that in my quote book...what a beautiful job of cross stitching she did. A gift from the heart is truly the best gift of all. I tell my girls that all the time!

  6. Beautiful sentiment, and a beautiful cross stitch :)

I remember not having lots of "things" as a kid, my mum prioritised differently. So I have hundreds of incredible memories of trips, holidays, activities. Much more valuable than big houses and new cars (which is what my friends had)
