Winter Returns
I took these photos right before daybreak. I love how still and quiet they look. Frodo and I always get the newspaper together every morning. Most of the time I do not take my camera. So in he goes and I grab my camera and go back outside. I'm going to count that as exercise.
The above photo is just unwanted growth (aka weeds) but it is so beautiful with the snow on top!
This is our beloved white pine that is probably planted too close to the house. I'm not worried until it reaches full height and that is many many years from now.
I will be knitting this afternoon and hoping that the snow stays for a bit. I will also be nestled inside where it is warm with a cup of hot tea in my hands.
oh how lovely! it snowed a little bit again here too today, but just a little dust on the trees... enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteHow simply gorgeous!!! So glad you opted for that exercise and shared.
ReplyDeleteI think our whole winter is going to be somewhere between you and Tracey--we have no snow--we have no pretty spring blooms, just grey rainy somewhat chilly (30s) days with some teasers (50s) thrown in to keep us guessing. Give me spring--or give me WINTER!!! (I know, Phil saw his shadow--bring on the snow!!!)
Pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI love how things like weeds look so nice all covered with snow (barbed wire looks surprisingly pretty with a light dusting too!)
I never would've thought weeds could be pretty but the snow does help! Staying inside with knitting and tea sounds like a great way to spend your day. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI want to be at your home Karen! I am just sitting here looking at all you beauiful snow picutes and I must confuse to being a wee bit envious [ok, a lot envious]. :) I hope your snow sticks around. Enjoy your tea and knitting!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me cold just looking at it! I love the way snow can add such beauty to the simple pieces of our landscape.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! The second to last phot is especially gorgeous! Good luck with knitting...sounds like a very nice day!
ReplyDeleteso pretty! wish i was there to knit and watch the snow :)
ReplyDeleteAaahhh... looks perfect for knitting and a hot cup of tea!! Gorgeous photos, Karen! Enjoy! blessings ~ Tanna
ReplyDeleteAm I strange for being slightly jealous of all that snow?!

Beautiful photos--your'e so lucky to have snow! What a strange winter we've been having where I live.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos! I would love snow, but it's 65 degrees here!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. It's warm here... I had the window open in the bedroom to air out the dust while I was cleaning today!
ReplyDeletesounds like a pretty good day :-)
ReplyDeleteJust look at all of that beautiful, quiet snow... I want some! Enjoy it for both of us. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
I love being able to live through those that experience snow in winter. Snow seems to make everything so surreal. Jacinta
ReplyDeleteYay! You got your snow ;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for some lovely snow photos (since we're not getting any here)...yet.
