Currently on the Needles

Oh my needles are flying, well, at least to me they are flying.  I finished my table runner, thank you for all the lovely compliments.  I have returned to my gloves and as you can see, I've completed the thumb gusset and two fingers.  I believe I'll be casting on the other hand tonight.  Finger knitting goes very fast.

I'm nearly finished with Between, Georgia and I'm loving every minute I'm reading it.  The story is fast pace and I have no idea what will happen and that makes me want to read a bit more.  The book is an easy light read and I recommend it.  I also have my Mary Oliver book that was a gift from my daughter over Christmas.  Since it's poetry month, I've been reading bits here and there.

Deborah over at Square Grannie gave a wonderful review of David Copperfield so I've downloaded the book on my ipad that that will be my read during the day.  I'm assuming that this book will take me quite a while, and that's fine.  I have only read three of his novels:  A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.  I'm looking forward to adding another title to my list.

What are reading and knitting this week?

  20. How did I miss your FO table runner? It's gorgeous! I've never done gloves, fancy pants! Your needles are on fire for sure! It's funny that I have been all about procuring ebooks for me and The Kid and David Copperfield completely went over my head. Good idea, but I'm going to go Great Expectations ... maybe this summer when I catch up with my other lengthy list!

  28. Are gloves hard? I've only done mittens. Still slogging through Blood and Beauty but slipped in a Sara Paretsky mystery.

  29. your gloves are looking great! I feel like I wouldn't have the patience to knit gloves.. I would probably get bored around the 3rd finger and let them sit forever! I do that sometimes with stuffed animals.. knit the body and then avoid the legs!!

  30. Did you read Gods in Alabama, also by Joshlyn Jackson? It was also very good and had a twist at the end that I did not see coming.

  31. I've been frogging not knitting, and I'm still reading last month's book.

The gloves are going to look fabulous when you're done :)

  32. I keep saying this, but I am always impressed by your knitting skills!
I'm not reading the book, so I know it's not the same, but I am in the middle of watching Great Expectations (since you mentioned that book). I started it one night when my hubby wasn't around, and now I just don't seem to get to finish watching the rest of it since he's really not into those kind of movies :)
