Currently on my Needles

Yesterday I posted about my hitofude cardigan, I think I'm going through cardigan knitting withdrawal...As I type this post, I'm wearing it and smiling with sheer joy!  All knitting should be this joyful.  Anyways, I started a Christmas project!  I'm knitting a grey loop cowl, but following the pattern quite loosely.  The yarn is dream in color smooshy that has been in my stash for a while.  This is perfect tv knitting.

My reading is the same, The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert.  Overall I do like the novel but as you know I read at night and sometimes I'm tired and  -poof- I'm asleep.  I think I need to read this during the day so I get engrossed and stay awake.

What are you reading and knitting this week?

  1. I like that pattern and I think it is really going to pop in the color you picked! My next knitting project will be skirt. I have the yarn, the pattern is printed out - then I realized I do have the right needles for it but they are too long. Argh, a trip to the store to buy them is in order... Have a beautiful day!

  2. I started an Estuary shawl yesterday which will keep me occupied for a while and today I decided to frog my favourite hat and knit it again with 8 stitches less. Because even though I really loved it, it was always slightly too big which bothered me every time I wore it. I hope it will turn out even nicer now...

  19. Hm..we're looking for a cowl pattern for our local knitting group to do a knit along with-this looks like something they might like. I love that cheery colour!
Regardless of whether or not the group wants to do one, I should cast one on for a gift. Most of my knitting from now until christmas is going to be for other people. boo. haha

  21. Dream in color smooshy ... I like that yarn, it makes me feel the way it sounds. I am honest to god going to finish a baby cardigan this week. I'm also going to finish reading Gathering Blue this weekend. Just not much time for knitting or reading these days. Sad face.
