Currently on the Needles

My reading this week continues to be the David Sedaris book that I photoed last Wednesday.  I am overall enjoying the read, some chapters (essays) are funnier than others.  I am amused most of the time.  While visiting my family, my sister and I shopped in Barnes and Nobles and to my delight I saw this magazine displayed.  I've seen this new publication on instagram feeds and once I did a quick flip through, the magazine had to be mine.  Bella Grace is filled with poetry, essays and lovely photography that evokes personal reflections.

My knitting is the same as last week as well.  I am knitting the cowl, the blanket, and my husband's socks.  So why not start something else?  Yep, I cast on these little holiday stockings that are my own pattern.  I am into the holiday spirit!

What are you knitting and reading this week?

  2. That green is one of my favorite colors! I can't wait to see the finished stocking. Maybe it won't be too difficult for a beginner....?

  3. Those stockings are going to be adorable! What do you plan on doing with them? I've toyed with the idea of knitting big stockings for all of us, but so far have not taken the leap. Maybe I need to start looking for some nice patterns...

  10. Heh, the more have on the go, the more you want to make, I find! Looks like you'll need the peace and relaxation of the magazine with all that on the go :) That stocking is very cute, though, so definitely worth it!

  12. yay for casting on even more ;-)
I am currently knitting a shawl for my exhusband and am thinking about a pair of mitts for myself and/or christmas ornaments next. I just finished a new hat that I've been wearing every day but can't show off online yet because it's a test knit and today my Ravello was finally dry so I could take it off the blocking board. I am reading The Final Empire and I am not yet decided how much I like it

  30. Oh so adorable.. Not that we live about 90 minutes from most big box type stores - which is all fine, except one - I do miss Barnes and Noble - I used to go sit and have coffee while checking out the beautiful magazines.
Enjoy and thank you for sharing the links to your patterns.

  32. Even though you are working on so many more projects that I am you will have them all finished before I even think about finishing my current project! Which is good and bad. I see your finished projects and then I want to make that too!

  34. I love Bella Grace, it is an awesome magazine. Your knitting skill continues to amaze me. I am still working on a sweater that I began last year, LOL! My problem is that I am a bit like a golden retriever, I get all excited about something until an new shiny object is dangled in front of me...then off I go! Have a wonderful weekend, Karen!
