Currently on the Needles

My knitting has returned to shawl making, which as you know, I adore.  I find it soothing to focus on the soft rows and easy charts.  I'm in my happy place!!

My reading is super quick and easy.  My son recommended the book above as a "must read" and I love it.  It's middle school?  age and I love the fast simple sentences and the condensed chapters.

What are you knitting and reading this week?

  1. I think of you every time I see a lace shawl pattern! :)

  2. You have such a knack for picking the prettiest patterns and matching them with the perfect yarn! Not much knitting or reading going on here right now. My mom is flying in this Friday and I'm in "overdrive" getting everything ready, working, end of the year programs, school banquets, grocery shopping...

  11. Beautiful! In my stage of life I have so few opportunities to really wear a shawl because I haven't found a way to wear them (besides like a scarf) that doesn't get in the way with my day-to-day mom life... the ends always dangle or they wont' stay on my shoulders while I do stuff like laundry and dishes... haha! Which is very sad because I love shawl knitting too!! Yours is beautiful.

  17. Your shawls are bright and fun. I added the audio version to my TBR. Sometimes I feel I don't have the patience to read a juvenille fiction book but don't mind listening to it.
