Weekends

How was your weekend?

We were able to walk yesterday but Saturday was a rainy drippy dreary day.  I missed the sun while it was raining and the day felt like it lasted forever.

Frodo and Holly were in the same room!  Frodo didn't know Holly was on that loveseat and he did figure it out eventually.  It was a noisy morning.  I think they have fun with their dog-cat game.  Holly knows what he does and she likes to instigate once in a while.

As you can predict, I knit a lot, cast on some new stuff, and finished a project.  I'm stuffing my brain with all the knits!  I finished a 'meh' book and needed a day to recover.  So let's hope what I pick next is better, honestly there is nowhere to go but up for me.

I met with my real life knitting friends for a zoom meeting.  It was nice to see everyone and I took a photo of my knitting mess below.  Good times!

Sunday I watched Mass on youtube and did my laundry as always.  What did you do this weekend?

Comments

  1. I watched the rain and did a bunch of baking. Fortunately I was out a lot on Friday and got plenty of exercise. I'm hoping to walk today, but right now it does not look promising. I need to dig through my stash and come up with a new project!

  2. We tried to mark the weekend as slightly different from the week, and took a long walk and then went fishing. It was cold , rainy, and only four fish were caught, but I was still glad to be outdoors. Your knitting is taking over the kitchen table (in a good way)!

  5. Looking forward to seeing the project you finished. Saturday was a rainy, drippy day here, too. We did take a ride though and it was good to beaway from the house for a bit. Yesterday I was waited on by my hubby because of having a bad fibro day. By bedtime I was feeling much better. :)

  6. Rainy days are hard!!! No doubt about it. I think everything, gets to us more, on rainy days. So we have to realize this... And work on dealing with it. -smile-

Which pet came first? I suppose that the first one, was not happy with the second. And it "went-from-there".... Perhaps as they both get older, the "games" will become less frequent????????? -grin-

Don't know what a zoom meeting is, but I'm sure it was fun, to get together, somehow,in cyber.

Oh my Dear, how am I going to *break you of the habit,* of finishing books, which are "eeeeeehhh"? Or perhaps even worse than that? Even though we are IN, we don't have to feel, we have to finish *icky* books, like we would want to finish food. We can always get more to read, on the Net. Even not expensive ones.

It sill holds, that life is too short, to drink bad wine, or finish *Eeeeehhh* books. I sezzzzzzzzzzz! >,-))))

    Please stay calm,
    and carry on.

      Please stay calm,
      and carry on.

  7. We had a dry weekend here, in fact after months and months of continuous rain we have not had any for three weeks here! Everything is now looking a little parched! I went for a wonderful walk, did lots of knitting, played board games and watched a few films. I am hearing more and more about Zoom it sounds like a wonderful tool for getting together virtually, glad to hear that it is working for you.

  8. I had a discord chat with a friend from New Zealand on Friday - it did us both good, so much fun, and we finally could catch up after months of not managing to talk! PHEW ... Lots of knitting and reading here and even cross stitch. (We had sleet yesterday, but today was better, I am so glad for that. I think I'll finally clean the balcony and then we might be able to sit outside for a bit each day)

  10. Love all the comments and all the love for knitting and getting outside! I'm getting MORE knitting done with my virtual gatherings - some because I don't have any commute time, but also because it seems a little calmer (and of course no one is showing me a mistake and asking for help to fix it).

  11. Well, I have to think about it. hahaha. We tried to live stream Mass, no luck. I talked or rather listened to two friends who needed an ear. Walmart pickup was Saturday. Live FaceTime with zach and new kitty!

  12. The weather was beautiful, sunny and mid sixties so we were able to get out and walk. Sunday we watched two church services- our own and the one conducted by my son-in-law. I would like to spend more of this time knitting but I know it wouldn't be good for my shoulder so I am being reasonable. Sunday is my day to talk to my sister and check-in with family. Thankfully everyone is doing fine, even the MD. I also took a bit of a screen break. Your home looks lovely and inviting.

  13. In this rapidly changing environment with the continual review of rules and laws we took a break from the TV and enjoyed each others company. Caught up with the family and friends and felt a little normal for a short while. Stay safe.

  14. Looks like a great weekend.
I think I need a do-over for mine next weekend ;-) Felt sick, watched too much news. We did get to drive around the island a bit though, right before they announced a real lockdown, so I'm really happy we did that.
