Weekends

This weekend is brought to you by two household pets and an elusive frog that posed ever so pretty for a photo while it was enjoying the abundant endless sunshine.

How was your weekend?

Mine was packed full of household chores and tasks. It's too boring to list them but let's just be honest and say that checking off a long list is satisfying especially if you color code the list. The Great Declutter has taken a brief pause because my trunk is full of stuff and I have to get rid of that before I can load up again.

Excuses come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

Yesterday was brilliant sunshine and over 80 degrees. On our daily walk, I was wishing for capris instead of jeans, I was overdressed.

How was your weekend?

  1. My weekend was packed full of chores, too, but at least they are done (for a week or so). Today I get to start chores in MD but they are fewer. Yesterday was definitely a day for shorts; it was 88 down here!

  2. It sure did get warm yesterday, but was still a bit breezy here. I was fine in jeans (but I also wasn't real active - lol). My weekend was great. I hope to tackle some chores today, inbetween work stuff.

  4. Mr. Frodo looks like he is saying stop those chores and throw the ball with me!!!!

  5. My weekend was a mix of household chores, cross stitching and knitting. Oh, and both dogs got a bath, much to their chagrin.

  6. Look at those sweet babies and even the frog is adorable. At least you've paused because your trunk is packed. When I did my big deep clean and declutter in February I just piled everything out in my storage room, and yep it's still there. That room is going to be one of my summer 30 day challenges but I'm not looking forward to it. Have a fantastic week Karen!

  7. The great weather is bringing on severe allergies for me. I don't usually have seasonal allergies so I am a mess.

  9. My weekend included a trip to a local nursery where I was underdressed because it was cloudy and cool. Love the pet and frog photos.

  10. Having your trunk is full of stuff from the declutter doesn't sound like an excuse to me. It sounds like progress is being made. We have had some warmer weather too. I went through my closet. I have plenty of tops but I need some new capris and a pair of slacks for Spring. Frodo is such a handsome guy.

  11. Great shot of that frog!! We can really hear them the past few days. Decluttering is fantastic once done. I was so excited to have porch weather! IT was wonderful for 2 and a half days. I spent the weekend working hard to finish some gifts. We are going visiting and I had little things on many items . The cats were thrilled to be on the porch with moths on the screens!

  14. You were not alone in spending the weekend focusing on chores! I cleaned the house from top to bottom and it was SO satisfying to cross items off of my to-do list! : )

  15. I did wear shorts for the first time on Saturday ... that felt great ... and now it's rainy and chilly again and Holly is the perfect lap blanket :-)

  16. Your pup is so cute! :) Sounds like a busy weekend too! We had a long weekend here but it rained two of those days, so it was a quiet one mostly at home! thankfully on Monday we could get the kids out in the sunshine for a bike ride!

Hope that your week is going well :)

  17. I spent this weekend in bed, going through the side effects of my second, Moderna shot. At least I didn't have to cook and got to eat yummy food from The Kebab Shop.
