Weekends

Good morning! I snapped this photo yesterday afternoon, I find it funny. Usually Frodo is facing me which gives him an excellent view of the neighbor's driveway and the front road. Frodo cannot (cannot!) keep quiet when he sees someone walking. We try to train him and usually just put him on a leash and make him sit beside us on the patio for 10 minutes or so and then try again.

When he was facing the gazebo for an extended period of time it looked like he put himself in timeout!

How was your weekend?  Mine included:

- lots of rest - reading time - knitting time -  visiting my Aunt for an hour at her house - my sister visiting me for an hour or so - patio sitting time - laundry and cleaning the house - catching up on podcasts

It was a great weekend, how was yours?

  2. Your Frodo is do precious. Schnauzers are known for their "talking". Mine dogs are "talkers" too. It does get a bit irritating at times, but at least I know when a leaf is blowing across my yard lol. I spent almost all of yesterday knitting on the shawl. It was very relaxing for me. Someday the shawl will be finished.

  3. Lots of knitting and some coffee. Lots of yard work for Steve. Lots of mopping for me. I think I had a burst of "fall cleaning". LOL

  4. Mine was busy! I had sketching, friends for dinner, and kayaking. I used to struggle with busy weekends, when I was working. But now, I can relax during the week!

  5. Hi - sounds like such a relaxing weekend. Mine was busy, busy, busy - as the weekend before the start of the school year always is. I listen to lots of podcasts too, and would love to know what some of your favorites are. Hope you have a good week.

  8. Our LIl Missy was a schnauzer and she loved to bark and bark and bark. My weekend was nice. It was my birthday on Saturday and I got some great yarn, finished a scarf and had a malt too! The weather was lovely. My kids rang me up and gave me time and gifts. FIreman did a great job grilling some steaks!

  10. Frodo is such a character! : ). We had a great weekend as well. On Sunday we visited our daughter and son-in-law at their new home (only 45 minutes away! Yay!) to help with some household chores. I am so happy to have them living close by!

  11. Hi Karen,
...that's a sweet picture of Frodo...our Jack would never sit still if he saw someone walk by...his favorite place when we lived in North Dakota and had a big front facing window was on top of the back of the couch so he could see out the window...
    ~Have a lovely day!
