Weekends

How was your weekend?

Mine was quite restful and calming. On Saturday we went to a few shops and a garden center as an outing. For the entire week we have been having rainy cloudy days. On Saturday I was just tired of it all. Did I move to a different weather zone? Or it just an unusually wet spring?

Based on my photos you can see I am adoring the dogwoods that continue to blossom and shine. The above water feature was in a business building that I had to capture, sitting in the rain seemed appropriate to reflect the never ending downpours in this town.

Sunday, Mother's Day, the sun came out and it was the most cheerful day. The entire neighborhood came out to garden, ride bikes or walk their dog. We all gave a collective sigh of relief. This week looks like it will be a really nice week.

My Mother's Day was quiet since both kids live out of town. My aunt and cousin came over for a chat which I just loved! One of the reasons we moved here. Of course I saw my sister and we exchanged mini Mother's Day gifts.

Today I am determined to wind some wool and cast on something new! Now to decide what wool and what project...that is the best problem to have.

How was your weekend?

  2. Our weekend was very soggy - and chilly/blustery/etc. Today the sun is out and it should get near 70! I'm excited to have a bit of warmer weather.

  11. I'm glad you had a pleasant Mother's Day. My son is here for a few days so I had a lovely Mother's Day although it was a little cloudy. We had a rainy week and after drought status it was lovely. I'll be anxious to see what you cast on. Sometimes I think the best project is the next one.

  15. Ah, Mother's Day. It was pretty much a quiet day where I most likely watched Disney+ and knitted and just had to heat up The Kebab Shop leftovers.
