Isn't Holly just the sweetest? She's been sneaking into the 'Frodo' zones undetected. She has a swing in her step because she is successful. Frodo has got to know she is there and just doesn't care. If only they could talk to us. It's raining today and that makes it a wonderful day to read and knit.
Yesterday we drove to the Westmoreland Museum of American Art for the morning to see their exhibit on Gate Crashers (self-made artists). The paintings were excellent and I learned about some interesting facts on the various artists showcased. The rest of the museum was just as informative and inspiring.
After a quick lunch at a local cafe we drove to the south part of Pittsburgh to return a purchased item no longer needed and we avoided 'highways' due to a major traffic jam. Let me tell you, I saw a lot of towns that I probably never have been to in person. It was fun!
I hope the museum inspires me to dust off the paints and start exploring with techniques and colors. Thank you for the kind wishes about my dry eye (and dry mouth, ugh). The eyedrops will take six weeks to work so every day I'm inching towards relief. The dry mouth is what it is, I am lucky it comes and gos and most of the time I manage.
I hope you have a great weekend. As always thanks for visiting this space and reading my posts. We have such a nice little community here.
That sounds like a wonderful artistic (and hopefully inspiring) outing. I really like those murals!ReplyDelete
Those murals are fantastic! What a fun trek! (and YES pick up your paints!!)ReplyDelete
I had no idea what it "means", but I love that last mural. LOL Have a wonderful weekend.ReplyDelete
Those murals are wonderful! We've got a lot here too. I kinda like that trend.ReplyDelete
I love the look on Holly's face.
Beautiful works of art! Every year I take one day to myself and go the the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. It's one of my favorite places for inspiration! Also, Holly is adorable : )ReplyDelete
Love the murals...and we love exploring back roads and small towns. Can't wait to see your knitting updates.ReplyDelete
Oh that little Holly... she is definitely sweet! Your stories of Holly and Frodo always make me chuckle. Sounds like you've been having some fun!ReplyDelete
Holly and Frodo seem to be cautious companions. We've been driving through small towns that are new to us lately because I use the WAZE app on my phone to avoid road tie-ups. It is interesting...and sometimes scary.ReplyDelete
Love that kitty! Sounds like you had a nice day.ReplyDelete
Gorgeous Holly, he curve of her back makes her look like a cat model. I always love trips to the art museum for inspiration! I'll start painting, if you do...seriously!! Let's do it!ReplyDelete
How fun for you and your husband to visit different museums and sights in Pittsburgh. I am all for avoiding major traffic jams. I hope your symptoms continue to improve.ReplyDelete
I love those murals and the exhibition sounds wonderful. I live in an area that was once called Westmorland, I wonder if there is a connection?ReplyDelete
