Weekends
How was your weekend?
My weekend was relaxing overall. First of all, I tried really hard to ignore the wintry cold air blast as much as possible. It was bitterly cold and windy - Frodo and I don't like that kind of weather at all but I do not want to complain about it. Today is the first day of Spring and let's hope spring temperatures arrive soon.
I found pockets of time to read and to knit at home even though I am still driving down to the hospital to visit dad who is now in a regular room. My family and I are hoping he can go to a rehab facility soon.
I continue to enjoy knitting my top down sweater.
How was your weekend?
This does sound like a more relaxing weekend without the worry of your dad in ICU. Here's hoping he can head to rehab soon, and then home!
ReplyDeleteIt got very cold here too (after a lovely Friday). Today is still chilly and I sure hope our winds stop soon! I'm sure your weekend was more relaxing now that your Dad is in a regular room. Hopefully Rehab will come soon!!
ReplyDeleteIt was so windy and cold ... I am more than ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteThose daily hospital visits can wear a body down. Take care of you too. Hopefully. Spring weather will be in your area soon. Springtime in your area is such a beautiful time of year with. So many beautiful blooms to behold.
ReplyDeleteWeekend was a little busier than I would like, but we had fun. I met up with Vera on Saturday morning and went to the Fire Department banquet on Saturday night. We were seated at the Police Officer's table since Steve works part time for two of the local departments. We all have grown children so the table topic was our pets with lots of photos shown around the table. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the drive is better now that your dad is in a regular room. Our weekend was spring-hectic - grandsons playing sports, church, dodging the wind and rain with Lucy ... and watching a bit of college basketball.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a relaxing weekend and that your dad continues to progress. I hope that he goes to rehab and then goes home soon. have a good week. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThe weather was pretty spring like, but sadly the weekend started out with the funeral of our son-in-laws dad. It was a nice service though, and it's a relief that he's no longer suffering.
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is a lovely colour, and I love your project bag!

Your weekend sounds very relaxing. I'm glad your dad now has his own regular room!
ReplyDeleteThe weekend was quiet with some cold days but a little warmer on Sunday. It must feel good to be visiting your Dad in a regular hospital room without all the ICU restrictions. Although if one needs ICU care, it is wonderful that it is available.
ReplyDeleteOur weekend was cold and windy, too; my sister reminded me yesterday that it is still March and we should expect it ... grateful for sunshine, seeing the boys play sports, and catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in person since 2017!!
ReplyDeleteA weekend of knitting and reading sounds perfect. Its good to hear that you Dad is still recovering well.
