Weekends

What a glorious weekend!

I finished all the baby knitting (for now....). How exciting to cross off all the knitting goals. On Sunday, I started the baby birth sampler which should go smoothly. I can see the fabric (thanks Aida cloth!) and there's no silly backstitching.

The hot weather has ended for now. This morning it was chilly, yay. We are hosting a baby shower this coming weekend and so I have many lists going on at the same time trying to remember everything I want to do or buy before Friday. We also have a family reunion party on the weekend as well.

This weekend was all about BIG salads for dinner, sitting on the back patio and starting a new book - Beth Moore's memoir All My Knotted Up Life. I was super excited when the library hold email alerted me.

How was your weekend?

  1. How nice to have completed.the baby knits. I found out I need to start some baby knits for an upcoming great granddaughter! A cross stitch without backstitching would ve a dream come true for me too. Sounds like you will be plenty busy with the upcoming gatherings. Enjoy!

  3. I'm glad you met your baby knitting goals! I goofed off over the weekend so that means I have lots of laundry today. With no rain in the forecast at least it's a good drying day!

  4. I recently listened to the audio of Beth Moore's book and really liked it. Sounds like you have a busy week. Glad to hear your weather cooled off. We are having a cool and wet June. We had lots of thunderstorms during the early part of the weekend. I hope have a good week and accomplish all you need to for the baby shower! See you again soon!

  8. It cooled off here last night after a storm blew through. almost didn't need the A/C today which was nice. LOVE all the knitting and the start of that sampler. Good luck with your lists this week! We have our grandson with us for two days because he broke his wrist and can't do the lacrosse camp his parents had planned. A trip to the library and ice cream after is all we have planned so far.
