Weekends

How was your weekend?

On Saturday afternoon, we went to a graduation party for my cousin's son that was fun. I wasn't the host so I was able to relax and enjoy the company.

Yesterday, we went to my dad's house for a lunch and to celebrate Father's day. We had a great time, ate really good food and relaxed with each other on his back porch.

Three weeks ago I removed our regular bird feeder because that pesky raccoon came by and ate all of the birdseed, grr. I swapped out the bird feeder with a thistle feeder (raccoons do not eat thistle supposedly). To my delight I spied two goldfinches Saturday morning!

Late afternoon yesterday I braved the air quality and sat outside for a bit enjoying the beautiful day, reading a book and watching Frodo watch the world.

How was your weekend?

  1. Not only did you attract goldfinches to your feeder, but you also managed to get a picture!

  4. I had a very ordinary weekend ............just the way I like it. Met up with Vera on Saturday and enjoyed the beautiful weather on Father's Day with coffee outside.

  5. Great goldfinch picture! And Frodo - surveying his kingdom! My weekend was lovely and calm and extended (today is a holiday for me work-wise).

  7. The little yellow goldfinches are so beautiful. I'm glad you have some coming to your feeder. We had a quiet but nice weekend. Sunday I took my husband out for breakfast at his favorite little diner. Later I made a batch of lemon bars - his favorite. We talked to the kids.
