Weekends

I had such a good time this weekend with our daughter and son in law. We drove a little north to a restaurant that has beautiful outdoor seating for our lunch on Saturday. Since moving to western PA, my husband and I rarely eat out and therefore do not have a list of great restaurants. I cannot remember which family member recommended this restaurant but it was nice and we would go again.

After lunch, we shopped at a few stores before returning home to prepare for extended family to come visit and have dessert. I appreciate my aunt and my sister for making desserts and spending time with us on the back patio. The weather was perfect!

Sunday morning, we said goodbye to our company and attended morning Mass. I did the laundry and cleaned the house. After lunch my husband and I went to yet another garden store to purchase this St. Francis statue. We've been on the lookout for this statue since last summer. We are picky and the the statues are rare to find. My cousin recommended this garden place and we finally found him.

How was your weekend?

  1. What a lovely weekend! I'm glad you had good weather; after a very dry start to summer it's done nothing but rain here!

  6. Sounds like a lovely weekend.

We are looking for something to put in on our cellar windowsill. The previous people had a quite large frog and apparently everyone in town misses it. LOL I'm thinking something a little more edgy than their sweet looking frog ..............possibly a gargoyle.

  7. What a lovely place for lunch! I love al fresco dining when the surroundings are so beautiful! I've been on the lookout for a mini Buddha statue for a small space in my house. I think it's worth being picky about them... after all, your eyes will be gazing upon it more than anyone else!

  13. We had a nice weekend - rather quiet. I'm glad you had a nice time with family. The lunch spot looks like a nice place to eat a bite and visit. Sometimes indoor restaurants are so noisy.
