Catching Up

Good morning! How are all of you? I'm doing well and continue to play catch up after our trip last weekend to Cambridge, MA. The unpacking is the easy part, it's the internet catch up - bill paying and visiting blogs. Also buying groceries while not having a menu plan. I should just give up having a menu plan since I seem to do fairly well winging the meals.

I've been holding off saying this but I'm just about to burst because I am ready for FALL. I'm doing my best to enjoy the summer season especially since this is my husband's favorite season. As of today, we have 50 more days until the first day of Autumn.

I went out shopping with my sister yesterday morning and I bought some new charms from Joann Fabrics to add to my traveller's notebook. They are so cute. The tidy Buddha was from the beach vacation last year.

This fall, I will be taking some classes at the local university for people over 50 years old. I'm excited to go back to school but it's not for credit, just for fun. Some of my other family members are also participating.

I should be done with the cross stitch sampler today. All I need is a name and birth date of our granddaughter to be. She is due August 25th and everyone is ready, most especially my daughter-in-law.

  1. What a darling sampler!! I bet your DIL is more than ready for that girl to appear...summer pregnancies....I can't wait to hear about the course(s) you are taking this Fall. How fun! And, I'm with you - I cannot wait for Fall. But, I will say this past week has been delightful - a taste of Fall if you will. It was almost chilly sitting on the patio yesterday afternoon.

  2. Your sampler is looking good and I'm sure everyone is ready for the baby! And going back to school sounds like fun! What classes will you be taking? I considered it after my kids were out of school, but the costs were higher than my budget allowed and I was too lazy to drive an hour to take the classes.

  3. Oh your poor DIL... I had an early September baby and that felt like the longest, hottest summer ever! But that sampler is just so cute!

I, like you, am counting the days to fall... I do love it so!

  4. The sampler is so cute.

I know your D-I-L must be more than ready to meet the new little one. It's hard those last few weeks and even harder when they hit in the midst of summer. Hope she can find some comfortable cool places.

  5. That is a beautiful sampler! It will be treasured. We have family birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate In August and September, so this is a busy time for us, too. What classes are you planning to take?

  7. Your sampler is so pretty. I can imagine that your DIL is more than ready for baby girl to be born. It is no fun to be at the end of a pregnancy when the weather is so hot. I like the idea of taking some classes.
