Weekends

Our weekend was wonderful, how was yours?

On Saturday morning my sister and I had an outing and did some shopping. Our favorite smoothie shop closed down a month ago. Instead she has been making the smoothies and they are delicious. We were both home by lunch time.

Over the weekend I found a mistake on my grandson's sweater so I had to rip it out and fix the mistake. It was a mistake I couldn't live with (aren't they all?). I am almost back to where I was before I ripped it out. Twice the knitting fun!

Sunday morning, we attended Mass and afterwards I visited my aunt and cousin for an hour. I did the laundry and cleaned parts of the house. The weather is heating up for the week and I'm pretending that isn't happening. I hope this is the last heat event of the year.

  1. Look at those leaves!! Our weather is warming too, but the evenings remain blissfully cool.

  2. I'm ignoring the warmup, too! We'll be back to fall temps by next Sunday but I also hope that this is the last blast of heat for the year.

  3. I am hoping that this heatwave ripens the last few big tomatoes on my plants! (and that there is zero humidity, because warm days are lovely sans humidity!)

  4. Your porch DEFINITELY says fall! I think the heat-wave will be our last.

  5. haha.. this a warmth I can handle.. we are in the mid to late 70's right now. It's the 90's and more that drive me mad.
Looks like you had a perfectly idyllic weekend. Ours was pretty good as well.

  6. What beautiful mums or asters? I hope today marks the end of the heat here - 90 plus degree days are a little warm for the end of September and first of October.
