How was your weekend?

Well, I decided to decorate the house on Saturday in one fell swoop. I am still sore but it is done! My calendar is going to be busy from here on out and I wanted this task done. My house feels like Christmas!

Because I was decorating all day, we ate from the freezer for dinner and it was nice that Past Me froze the leftovers from our Fake Thanksgiving celebration two weeks ago. What a delicious dinner!

On Friday night my sister and brother in law made dinner for us and we played board games. I also received my birthday gift from them. Holly had to intensely investigate the bag. I love her 'concerned' look when she is evaluating the degree of threat.

Sunday I went to Mass and enjoyed some reading and knitting and being chill. Of course there was the laundry and some chores.

How was your weekend? 

** Please note that I will not be posting this coming Friday as well as the following Monday. We have family visiting again and I know I will be busy with them.

    Your house looks so warm and festive! We're not decorating here, but I do have a little tree that I 'll put up once we're in the cabin.

    What a pretty tree. We have not yet decorated...I will put a Fall tablecloth on the table for Thanksgiving. I should probably polish the silver. Holly is so sweet. Does she investigate...or disturb...the tree? It was a cold weekend here. I did some baking, some knitting, some reading and also napping!

    Happy Belated Birthday. Your home looks very festive. I love all the snowmen out and around on the shelf. I have a snowman collection that I often get out in January when I put the Christmas things away. We went to church on Sunday and picked up coffee on the way home. I walked both days in rather brisk weather.

    That's nice to have the decorating chore done. That's a big part of the holiday stress for me. I still need to pack up my fall items and finish with the Christmas decorations. I did a lot of knitting on my blanket over the weekend. I would say I got about six inches added on... maybe a little more. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your family this weekend!

Knitting News

  Good morning to you! How are you? I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this! Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw . I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns. What are you working on this week? Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
