Happenings
Hello! How are you doing?
I've been really busy. We went to Indiana for the last time (unless someone else moves there that we visit) to help our son and his family relocate to our area. The ride home with the kids was the longest ride ever, ha ha.
They have been unpacking and trying to get settled while the kids stay with us at our house. Hopefully they will be sleeping in their new home in a day or two.
I haven't knit a single stitch since Wednesday.
The contact learning curve is getting better and faster but I still have a few tries getting them in no matter what. I get less irritated though. These contacts hold preservative free saline on my corneas all day long. It has helped with the eye pain I was experiencing from severe dry eye.
Sadly I ended up with a salivary gland infection over the weekend and am currently on antibiotics, I am feeling better though.
Hopefully I will be knitting this afternoon during naptime!
What a fantastic update this is, Karen! (well... not about the infection, sigh) It looks like you are having a wonderful weekend! How exciting to have your family so close! XO
ReplyDeleteThey are so lucky to have your help with the move and the kids! Here's hoping that naptime knitting happens today.
ReplyDeleteHow nice for those grand babies to be close.to you. Now you will be able.to be super involved in their lives. Watching them grow up will be such a joy for you too. Prayers for a quick healing for you.
ReplyDeleteThat's so exciting that your grandchildren will be so close! It's great that you are able to help your son and family get settled in. I hope you have a great week! See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the other day that it should be about time for your son's family to be moving to your area. You will love having them close by! It's a luxury that God has never granted me, but I still have a close relationship with all three of our grands.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will be nice having your family closer. Time with grandkids is precious time indeed.
ReplyDeleteHoping some knitting time becomes available soon.
I'm glad the contacts are helping. Sorry to hear about the infection.
ReplyDeleteYAYAYAYAAYAY ... I hope you are done with Indiana! and get everyone settled in their new home soon. (sorry about the infection, and also yay for antibiotics)
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad you will have your grandkids close now! It's so fun. Also glad to hear that even though the contacts are irritating, the pain is getting better. Have a good week..I hope you get some knitting time.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your infection. It must be nice having your son and family move nearby..
ReplyDeleteOther than the new infection, your update is very fun. The iris are beautiful and look at that little guy. They do grow up quickly.
