Happenings
Good morning! How are you doing?
I'm good, all of our plans changed for the weekend and we had a ton of free time. I am not complaining at all. I have been knitting up a storm and doodling in journals. I love the lull of January. And even though you are supposed to leave all the Christmas decorations up until the Epiphany, I put everything away on New Year's Eve so I could wake up on January 1st with a tidy looking house.
I finished the Christmas Scarf and have tucked that away for next year. Also I started a sweater for myself! It is in fingering weight wool which is just crazy. I'm sure it will take forever to knit but for now I am thoroughly enjoying the project. And it's for me!

The January lull is so peaceful, isn't it? Yay for free time and a new sweater start. Gorgeous colors for the sweater. What pattern?
ReplyDeleteI hear you about wishing things tidy. 🥰
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Karen!
ReplyDeleteI’m planning to cast on a sweater this week. I usually knit with fingering because it makes a very wearable garment. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this sweater! It's starting out to look very nice. I hope you have a very nice relaxing January! :)
ReplyDeleteWell that's fun...working on something for yourself! I hope you enjoy the project:) Happiest new year wishes to you!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2026! I love to start the new year tidy. There is nothing better than notebooks and knitting.
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the future sweater are lovely. Nothing better than a tidy house.
ReplyDeleteI love January. Enjoy your new sweater. The colors are pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your doodle journals. We were going out of town, so I took the Christmas things down the day after Christmas. I love Christmas with all it brings, but I also enjoy the clean tidiness of the house when all of the decorations are put away. Have a good week. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteI like the doodles.
