Weekends

A weekend filled with:

-combining simple knitting and reading a book AT the same time :)
-maintaining reading comprehension
-without any knitting mistakes
-a graduation party of a dear friend's son
-LOTS of cake (my downfall with staying on a "healthy" diet)
-sunny skies
-resuming walks now that the weather is pleasant
-chocolate (my other downfall)
-laundry
-dare I say "donut"?  yep, one of those too (I only live once)
-watching the season finale of Glee on the dvr and loving the plot twist
-thinking all week and this weekend that life is good

How was your weekend?

  2. I'm amazed you can knit & read AT THE SAME TIME!!! I've always wanted to be able to do that but the few times I tried I made a big mess of my knitting. Or didn't remember what I read!

  3. Sounds like a delicious weekend. Have a good week! I love the picture of your plant. I love having plants in the house...especially when they stay alive!

  4. I am still so jealous that you can knit and read at the same time! Some day that dream will come true for me. :)

And I love your plant. My Mom has one too and I've always wanted one. Maybe this St. Patrick's Day I will pick one up. (that's the only time I ever see them for sale)

  6. Now you need to share with me how you can knit and read because that would be nirvana for me!!
Don't worry about the cake, chocolate and other treats you deserve it after achieving the knitting/reading combo ;o)
My weekend was fun and emotional. I got to visit my childhood summer house http://www.imenesaid.com/?p=4572

  7. oh yum to your weekend karen! and i love your thinking, life is good. are you using an electronic reader? i have been reading on my ipad, although i prefer books (really prefer books) but it means no more rubber bands trying to hold the pages open while knitting. :)

  17. I wish I knew how to do that: knit and read AND maintain reading comprehension, ha ha! That sounds like a perfect weekend to me!

  18. Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Life certainly is good :)
Your shamrock is beautiful. Mine is sadly neglected and occasionally mistreated by small children. But it's amazingly resilient.

  19. Life is so very good. Everything in moderation is my motto (hence the indulgent consumption of Swedish Fish this weekend - my weakness). Knitting and reading feels completely productive to me. Glad you were able to do some of it.

  20. Very impressive...There is no way I could knit and read at the same time. I have issues with reading a knitting pattern and knitting. Lovely weekend!

  21. Oh goodness, I had to laugh at your sweet excursions. You and I would not be good influences on each other I think :).

  29. Oh you clever sticks! I have only just discovered knitting and podcasts/audio books, let alone knitting and reading!

What a lovely plant. Lovely to hear that you have had such a positive week. I've been struggling a bit this past week, but I know that 'this too shall pass.' :)
