Weekends

This weekend was filled with:

-going to a local fair and not riding this ride :)
-eating not very good for you food
-enjoying every single glorious bite, especially funnel cake
-being thrilled with the cooler temps even if it does rain a little
-company!  my brother in law and sister in law are visiting for a long weekend
-talking and talking
-my sis in law DOES knit so we talk about knitting and we do knitting
-brief chats with each kid because everyone is busy-I'm amazed at how quickly we can catch up in a five minute phone call!
-apple crisp

how was your weekend?

  1. Oh, I love that ride! Or I used to, anyway. I'll bet it would do funny things to my stomach, these days… I am jealous of your company; we haven't had any overnight visitors since we moved here & I love hosting friends and family so much. Hopefully a few folks will be in over the next month to make up for it. So glad you had such a lovely weekend & hope your week is just as nice! xo

  2. Sounds like a great weekend. We hit a fall fair this weekend too. We looked at the rides, but didn't go on, and we stayed away from the food :)

My sister in law knits too, always great to chat and knit together.

    Enjoy your week.

  6. I am so glad you enjoyed your funnel cakes, they are one of my favorites too. It has been pouring here for hours and I am seeing temperatures at 73 degrees, not wool weather yet, but at least it's cooler.
Have a wonderful visit with your family.

  8. A fair and some funnel cakes...such fun in the fall. Our temps here in Arizona were still in the triple digits this weekend, but we have faith they will fall one day! Cooler days sound wonderful! Enjoy the week ahead!

  10. Your weekend sounds a lot like mine! Isn't fair food yummy? I have to admit that I pay the next day because my tummy rebels a bit. And like you - I did NOT go on any scary rides.
