Weekends

My weekend was filled with:

-opened doors and fresh air
-spotting a huge hawk that captured a rabbit-beautiful and no camera in hand
-a walk, to drink in the mild summer temperatures
-enjoying the butterfly bush that some insects are noticing hopefully a hummingbird will catch word
-travelling visitors for lunch-strangers to me, acquaintance to my husband-friends as they left
-oh the leftovers from my overkill for a mere lunch
-picking the first cucumbers and tomatoes
-sleeve knitting, getting very close to completion

how was your weekend?

  1. Your weekend sounds divine. I sometimes hope for a quiet weekend but I know that with three boys under 10 those days are still a little way off.
Thank you for popping over to my blog and leaving such a sweet comment. Have a beautiful week x

  2. Oh the yarn is so pretty and so is the bag holding it. :-) Wish our weekend had been as restful as yours. We spent ours dealing with the death of a chicken, trying to get the cable working in our living room (finally giving up and moved furniture instead) and painting our daughters room. Busy, busy, busy...
    Wishing you a great week!

  4. We loved the great weather on Saturday. It was great to not have the A/C going for a change. What a lovely project bag with some real nice yarn inside!

  8. We're using up left overs tonight...I love that and all that fresh air. It's nice to be able to breath at last. I wish we had hummingbirds here they are so beautiful.
Hope the rest of the week is as good.

  9. I love reading your weekend lists each week. Many of my diary entries are in just this format. How lucky that you got to witness a true wild kingdom moment! Poor rabbit, lucky hawk : )

  10. Just getting toms and cucs? I forget how spoiled we are with our early garden bounty. Of course that is balanced with the unbearable humidity :(

    1. My sister sewed it for me and it's one of her designs. She does not have an etsy shop yet....but one day I hope to help her set one up and I'll be sure to mention on my blog. It's a sweet bag, even has a pocket!
