  2. I just told Mike yesterday that I really should get prescription sunglasses! I have a pair of Costa Del Mar's that I wear when I walk, but everything is a little fuzzy, keeps me from wanting to run back and grab the camera ;)
I keep turning chickpeas into hummus, but I do love them in a salad too. Oh, and avocados, drool.

  5. Lovely happy list. Sounds like the making of a perfect day. It's so good when you can see clearly.

I was thinking of your list on Sunday. I was walking with my sister-in-law and kept saying how comfortable my shoes are. I was bouncing around walking on air even though I'd been on my feet all day. It's amazing how little thinks can please us so much. Definitely one for a happy list.

  7. Your list and photos make me happy also! I have a dumb question; what is the orange thing next to your bunny? It's very pretty and looks like it would be perfect to hold and fidget with, kind of like a worry stone. I think I need one! Happy weekend to you!

    1. It is a tiny glass bowl that is blown glass I think. I received it as a present from my dad and his wife two Christmases ago.

  13. The color affection shawl is looking good and I must say your list sounds great. LOVE almonds (my favorite snack) and your mention of chickpeas makes me now crave hummus. :-) Have a beautiful weekend!

  14. YOU make my happy list. : ) I love coming here and reading your posts and seeing the beautiful things you knit. Your Color Affection is coming along nicely. Garter stitch is so satisfying to knit. (I'm working on Veera Valimaki's "Shift of Focus" cardi and loving it!)

  16. I love happy lists! Hurray for avocados and prescription sunglasses (I should really get some of those myself!) I spent a lot of today thinking it was Monday, so number one on my happy list is that it's actually Friday!

  17. As someone else said - reading your blog makes my happy list! Another thing that makes it is knitting of course - and spending some time in the bookstore today looking and buying more new books!
Question.....is the color affection shawl fairly simple to knit? I've been going back and forth on buying this pattern....

    1. I think it's fairly straight forward to knit this shawl. It's tricky to keep the ends loose while carrying the unused colors and the wraps could be something new for you, but you could you tube a how to on that. It's not difficult. Good luck :)

  18. My list would come pretty close to yours! Although a solo Barnes and Noble trip might top the list after all the noise in my house today! :)

  20. Getting through with this remodel... that's still on my to-do list! LOL!
    But, for the moment...
Time this morning to catch up on a little blog reading...
    Hot coffee...
A promise of sunshine and warm temperatures...
Nearing the end of getting this little weekender ready to list for sale... {sigh} then the living through showings until we can finally move into the Big Bah-Nilla... Well, that just ruined the mood. LOL!
Have a wonderful weekend, Karen. blessings ~ tanna

  24. I have the same shawl marked in ravelry. It's for someday when I'm a big girl knitter! :-) Lemons have become a rediscovered favorite -- good for flavoring water, rubbing on less than bright skin and cleaning the skin and disposal. Handy little gems!
