Daydreaming

Thank you all for loving the idea of the weekending post on Monday mornings.  I'm thrilled that this will work out for most of you.  My week has been here and there, happy and stressed.  All part of life and for that I'm glad I am breathing and finding tiny pockets of time for me.  My biggest habit that feeds my soul is my early morning alone time.....bliss!  I do a huge mind dump of lists of what need to be done before I forget. I never used to forget and I wonder did I have a fantastic memory or less to do when I was younger.  I'll never know.  Squeeze in some praying and journaling and then  -boom- I'm good to go.

As you can see, Frodo has quite the toy collection.  If you've been reading for a few years, you know his favorite toy of all time is the flexible frisbee.  He will run, catch, return and repeat over and over. His energy is endless and so is his joy.

Starting next week, I'm returning to my grocery budget.  You know the one for two people? I'm tired of spending money for filling apartments with furniture and all sorts of stuff for kitchens. I've never been a big shopper, so all this shopping is overwhelming.  I've been reading budgeting articles about eating from the pantry and various food challenges to pass the time away and entertaining myself.  Realistically, my food bill will go down once our son moves out.  He eats a lot :)

Good thing I impulsed bought those yummy candy corns - that will not be on my list next week.

Baby acorns--swoon!

I'm daydreaming of:

-wool wearing days~brisk cool air~completing a lace weight shawl~fairs~hat wearing days~starting a sweater~deep cleaning some rooms~warm comforting foods~returning to a schedule of sorts~pumpkin festivals~apple festivals~creating my Christmas knitting list~

Have a lovely weekend everyone!  See you Monday morning :)

  3. I love my alone time in the morning! The house is quiet, I get my first cup of coffee... What makes this even better is the time of year when I can do it with the windows open! We've had cooler nights lately and it is so nice to enjoy a little breeze, listen to the birds (sometimes the frogs) and have some quiet time before the hustle and bustle starts.
    Enjoy your weekend!

  6. Alas - Mowgli does not have a collection of toys, He eats them all, except one rubber ball. He's such a beast. Those candy corn look delicious. While I'm looking forward to the apple picking and autumn activities I'm not ready yet. The weather is cool here lately and I'm still wanting to hang onto summer a little longer.

  8. I think I must have always been a list maker. I can't remember a time that I didn't jot things down in little notebooks. We've had a nice summer here, hot days and mild, so I'm not too anxious to let go yet. The idea of cool weather and sweaters is appealing though. Have a good weekend. :-)

  13. I think our food bill will go down a lot when our son leaves for Mexico, but then we will be sending him at least $400 to pay his expenses there, but at least we'll save some on food. Hope you have a relaxing weekend. I love early mornings too.

  14. your daydreaming list is amazing! I'm currently debating the idea of fall, only because I'm a bit reluctant for the school year to start (but oh so anxious to have my baby!)~ but wearing wool scarves sounds so lovely :)
