Weekends

Weekends are for memory making,
relaxing and enjoying quiet moments of our days.
If you would like, please share your weekend moments
in the comment section with a link to your blog.

This weekend, I am sharing with you the pretty phlox in my back garden.  This year the flowers have grown high and quite pretty!  I love the burst of color they give to my otherwise overly green view.

My weekend thus far has been:

-driving a few hours one way to move out our daughter.  Two cars, four people and a flurry of activity.
-Subway sandwiches eaten on the floor of the empty apartment-reminding me of my earlier moving days
-driving back home to dump off some laundry and clothes while she visits us
-driving an hour in the opposite direction to move in all of the belongings in the cars
-a lovely dinner out in her new to be town, burgers and fries.
-driving home with two cars and four people.  We have yet to shop for some pieces of furniture in the coming weeks
-being sore from head to toe, having a mini flare of my RA from cleaning and bending one too many times

Today I'll be taking it easy, just church and laundry.  I am predicting a wee nap if the conditions are right. Some knitting perhaps and crossing off one move off of the list.

How was your weekend?

  1. Our cold and rainy weekend means not much going on here. Good luck with all that moving and furniture hunting. Hope your RA calms down with some rest.

That's the second time I've seen phlox this weekend, our friends had it on their dinner table yesterday, the scent was gorgeous.

  9. i'm exhausted just reading about this move! Hope you have just a teeny reprieve before the next one. Take care of yourself....maybe a nice glass of tea, a swing, and your camera.......to capture a few more moments in the garden. Gosh, that phlox is gorgeous. I had some white ones in mine earlier in the season and they magically disappeared. ????

  16. Your phlox is outstanding! And like many of the others, I hope you were able to get some rest on Sunday after a busy start to your weekend.

I'm attempting to revive my blog and used to (occasionally) join in on "weekending" with Amanda, so I hope it's OK for me to jump in here with my adventures this weekend: Vacation Weekends Are the Best Weekends.
