Weekends

Weekends are for memory making,
relaxing and enjoying quiet moments of our days.
If you would like, please share your weekend moments
in the comment section with a link to your blog.

This weekend was:

-busy-a bit of traveling and seeing family, some I haven't seen for over fifteen years
-eating in the car while trying not to drip food on dress clothes, quite the challenge but the challenge was met
-once again spending time with my sister, an outing, a knitting bag purchase (vera bradley tote)
-convincing my husband that I did indeed need another bag....
-quick stop at my dad's and capturing the sunflowers sunshiney smiles :)
-returning to list making and plotting out the week
-digging deeply into the freezer for some chili to eat on Football Sunday
-wishing I was watching ANYTHING but football

How was your weekend?  I'd love to read all about it.

  3. Of course you needed another bag, that shouldn't even need to be said aloud. ;)
Mike isn't much of a football watcher, but if there is a baseball or soccer game on then I'm in trouble.

  6. I don't really care for sports but it actually brings the family together which in turn let's me sit and read or crochet while we are there. Fall is my favorite time to crochet so it is about time to pick it up again! :)

  12. Of course you needed another bag, what a silly question. ;-) Are you going to show us which one you picked? We had a beautiful weekend here and were lucky enough to be able to go on two separate bike rides. So much fun!

  13. Lovely, a family filled weekend, and even with a new bag ;)
Football-watching is a great opportunity to knit something more complicated without worrying you might miss something important, I always find. I hope you had a good start to your week!

  14. I sat in front of the TV and watched football too! I love knitting and watching the game. Also I listened to my Jane Eyre audio book, which is so fascinating! :)

  15. New bags are always needed! I got a diaper bag from my aunt for the new baby- she made it- and my first reaction was "how many knitting projects can I fit in it". Of course, I have a number of suitable bags that could've been used as a diaper bag, but where's the fun in that? :)

  17. Joining in to share about my weekend...thank you, Karen. :) We caught the Steelers game on the radio on Sunday evening (!!); both my favorite teams won which makes me happy. Saturday was a hot day, but we made the best of it and built a rock wall which you can see if you click on over: http://happyindolevalley.blogspot.com/2014/09/in-which-we-visit-rock-quarry.html
    Blessings! Lisa :)

  18. You have just reminded me that I bought sunflower seeds at the show and haven't planted them as yet, hopefully I will get as lush display as your fathers crop of flowers

  19. That eating in the car challenge is one that I usually fail too. You'll have to share how you managed that one. Happy new tote bag. Thanks for telling us about your weekend. We did some travelling too at the weekend with our new neighbours across the border into Wales to an amazing food festival.
    Have a good week.
