Weekends are for memory making,
relaxing and enjoying quiet moments of our days.
If you would like, please share your weekend moments
in the comment section with a link to your blog.

My weekend -

-our daughter was home for the weekend along with her fiance
-pizza one night, a home cooked dinner of chicken and roasted potatoes the other
-waiting for an epic snow storm and getting about 2 inches, 3 inches if you are wishing for lots
-wedding cake samples (not what is in that photo)
-cupcakes, chocolate chip muffins, sugar cookies- oh my!
-seriously thinking of giving up the sweets any day now (once those two lonely cupcakes are gone)
-missing my daily walks, the weather is not cooperating these days
-cups of tea and watching tv and knitting, a perfect recipe for a relaxing weekend
-we are tired!  My husband and I are going to sink being two
-leftovers for dinner and a quiet evening ahead

how was your weekend? I'd love to hear!

  5. Sounds like a fun weekend. Yesterday we played with the grand kids and today we sang with the choir. After lunch I went outside and did some garden cleanup (in February no less) and then pruned the roses since today is Feb.22nd. Tomorrow I need to fertilize them and then deadhead the rest of our hydrangeas.

  8. I would much rather be walking outside than doing exercises inside...however, it doesn't look as if that is going to be happening any time soon, so I will be grateful for Leslie Sansone a bit longer. :)

Sweets are so addicting, aren't they?

We had a good weekend...lots of fun in quiet things and also in doing for others.

Have a great week, my friend.

  11. We braved the cold, rainy weather to take a trip to Frisco to see Cavalia Odysses. INCREDIBLE show! Worth even braving the horrible, COLD RAIN!! But, I missed being snuggle in with my knitting and I just wish sugar weren't so tasty. ;) blessings ~ tanna

  12. We pretty much stayed at home and piddled around. Lots of reading and knitting for me while the rest of the family caught up on their favorite shows on netflix. ;-) Really icy roads on Friday and just yucky weather the rest of the weekend kept us inside. I am soooo ready for weather that lets me be outside more!

  15. oh we've been so close to getting at least a bit of snow several times, only to be left with a dusting and loads of ice. a disappointing winter around here, at least for those of us wishing for at least a few days of proper sledding and snow angel making!

our weekend was some knitting and sitting by the fire, and the sad discovery of losing our remaining hive to the bitter cold last week. :(

  17. Aren't leftovers great - especially when you are tired? Sounds like a lovely weekend. We didn't get much snow either. Can't say I was disappointed with the lack of snow! Have a great week Karen.

  18. What a lovely weekend you had! I have been dying to bake but Rob is pre-diabetic and so I abstain in order not to tempt him. The irony of it does not escape me; I finally have time to indulge in baking and there isn't anyone left at home to bake for! : ) We spent a quiet weekend, Rob getting over bronchitis although he felt well enough to go to the movies on Sunday to see "American Sniper". Dinner out on Sunday and then I settled down in my pjs for Oscar night. Have a great week!

  19. Sounds like the perfect weekend to me. It's been so bitterly cold (sub zero temps) and we've had lots of snow so we've been basically hibernating! Lots of goodies and leftovers make for a perfect Sunday.

  25. It must have been so good to catch up with your daughter. How exciting about the cake tasting. That cupcake looks so good and I'm wondering what your secret is, you always look so slim in your photos. Your relaxing Sunday sounded perfect too...

Ours was pretty boring just lots of sorting out and decorating...

  26. What a great weekend! I remember tasting wedding cake samples before my wedding. My mother wanted to try so many different bakeries that I ended up gaining 5 lbs. before the wedding. Oops. But it sure was fun! Hope you are all staying warm! *hugs* :)
