Weekends

How was your weekend?  Mine was good and I'm pleased to report my wrist and hand have been the best ever.  Now, you and I know, every single time I say this I have a relapse.  But this time, I am not on a steroid nor any Tylenol.  Just my regular meds, one of them in the seventh week of an increase.  I think I've hit the sweet spot of the long term med working (six-twelve weeks). Oh my - that would be fabulous!!

All of these photos are from my sister's house because we went to visit my sister and brother in law for the weekend.  She is a really really good cook, and I love to not cook so it makes sense that I enjoy being at her house.

We had a graduation party to attend on Friday night at my aunt's house. My cousin's oldest daughter graduated from high school.  Seeing extended family for a joyous occasion is a treat and I had chocolate cake....yum.

Saturday morning, my sister and I shopped at craft stores and a book store.  I picked up some cotton blend yarn for a future project and some charms for some knitting markers.  Dinner that night was a tossed salad, grilled salmon, some kind of fancy yam (cannot remember the name) green beans and asparagus.  For dessert she made an apple pie.  I was stuffed!

Saturday evening we sat without the TV on, knitting and talking and relaxing, it was soothing and nice.  Oh and might I add it was pain free knitting, the blessings are abundant this weekend.

Today we left early in the morning to beat the traffic and only hit one construction delay.  While in the midst the delay, the world was ending and we got a bit grumpy, however, once we were through the construction (they weren't doing anything....just left the pylons up) we celebrated a mere 15 minutes added to our arrival time.  We felt every emotion during those 15 minutes.

The above photo is my sister and one of her dogs.  Below is the two of us.  I tried three times and I giggle when the first one is the best one.  Honestly, why try three times?

I hope your weekend was wonderful and you share it with us!
