Weekends
My weekend is still going strong since our son is visiting until tomorrow morning. However, I wanted to do a quick post about my weekend. I had a fabulous time yesterday during a picnic with family and friends. Lots of food, fun and laughter. Those busy kind of days are memory-filled and I bottle them up, savor them until the next event.
I surpassed the ripping out part of the shawl, speeding along to the second installment of the instructions. I've had lots of knitting opportunities in the past few days.
I hope to share with you soon some good news later on this week!
How was your weekend?
Your knitting looks so delicate and lovely! Your pictures are so wonderful, I love being near the water. Glad you had a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere is something about being near water and relaxing!
DeleteThis looks really lovely! Glad you had a fun, slightly extended weekend with food, great weather, your son, and knitting.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was truly wonderful.
DeleteThere is just something very special about spending time NEAR the water.
ReplyDeleteI love that puppy dog too!
That puppy dog is non stop go!
DeleteLovely as always to read your weekend report! Glad you have been having a nice time with your son.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy!
DeleteLove those kind of weekends! Beautiful photos, Karen! I'm stuck! I ran out of yarn last night with 6cm of ribbing to go. Arrrrgggghhhh. The perils of stash knitting (the yarn is discontinued -- Noro Shirakaba 8). May try to find some more in someone's stash they are willing to part with on Ravelry or just do contrasting hem. Bummer. Hope your week is as great as your weekend!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeletedon't you hate when that happens? I hope you find some extra yarn or maybe a workaround.
DeleteThat looks like a perfect spot to be for a weekend! Was Frodo wondering why you smelled like another pup??
ReplyDeleteFrodo was too busy getting over being in the kennel overnight :)
DeleteWhat a lovely place to be - so relaxing. Glad your weekend is slightly extended. Gorgeous knitting.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vera!
DeleteSuch a wonderful peaceful place!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. it was peaceful.
DeleteThat lake looks amazing! (and the lake house, too - LOVE that picture window!!) and how wonderful to extend the weekend into Monday!
ReplyDeletemakes me think I need a lake house :)
DeleteI envy you the weekend! Mine was quietly spent at home since eldest daughter was gone and Hubster was gone most of both days. Just me and the dogs hanging out in the sewing room!
ReplyDeletea sewing weekend sounds like fun to me :)
DeleteThe photo image of the lake with the towels hanging to dry is perfection. It says someone had a great refreshing swim in the lake. It says something we all relate to. I love that photo. Weekend was good. COLD but good. Found my new knit project so happy dance
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I take my camera around and snap what I think is something I want to keep forever.
DeleteLooks like you had an awesome weekend! I can practically hear the water lapping at the shoreline in the photo with the stairs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeannie!
DeleteIt sounds like a wonderful weekend, especially the time with your son! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy day to you, and have a wonderful week!
I am lucky he goes to graduate school so close by.
DeleteLooks like such a nice cottage, lovely photos. Hope you had a nice time spent with family and sounds like you even got some knitting in which is always nice!
